"We need to do a better job of putting ourselves higher on our own ‘to-do’ list." — Michelle Obama
Ashley brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her work as a therapist. Her own experiences with postpartum mental health, along with supporting loved ones through perinatal loss and major life transitions, inspired her to dedicate her career to maternal and paternal mental health. She is passionate about walking alongside clients through seasons of change—whether that’s postpartum depression and anxiety, infertility, perinatal loss, parenting challenges, fostering or adopting, or even life transitions such as becoming an empty nester or re-entering the workforce after raising children.
In addition to her work with parents, Ashley finds great meaning in supporting adolescents and young adults as they step into adulthood, independence, higher education, or vocational training. She also works with couples navigating relational stress and identity shifts, helping families grow stronger through life’s changes.
Her approach is integrative, blending evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Gottman-informed strategies with person-centered care and motivational interviewing. Above all, Ashley believes the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of healing. She prioritizes creating a safe, warm, and collaborative space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered.
Ashley is Maternal Mental Health-Certified (MMH-C) and has completed advanced training with Postpartum Support International (PSI) in perinatal loss, perinatal psychopharmacology, and advanced psychotherapy in perinatal mental health. She has also pursued specialized training in Trauma-Focused CBT, CPT, and Gottman Level 1, and holds certifications including Grief Informed Professional and Youth & Adult Mental Health First Aid. She collaborates with other professionals in the field to advance research and best practices in maternal and perinatal mental health.
Outside the therapy room, Ashley enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and dogs, discovering new restaurants, reading, and embracing simple joys like a cold Diet Coke or a good nap.
Ashley is committed to meeting clients where they are and helping them navigate difficult transitions with compassion, authenticity, and hope.
