Marcy Blake

Licensed Professional CounseloR

TX # 19616

"We need to do a better job of putting ourselves higher on our own 'to do' list."

Since beginning her counseling career in 2005, Marcy Blake has walked alongside children, teens, and adults as they navigate life’s most challenging seasons. With warmth, empathy, and a deeply supportive presence, Marcy offers a counseling experience rooted in trust, transformation, and practical change. She believes therapy is not only for times of crisis but can be a powerful tool even during life’s steadier moments—a place to grow, reflect, and build resilience for the future.

Marcy uses a cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused approach to help her clients understand the “why” behind their struggles and more importantly, discover the “how” of creating meaningful change. Whether working with overwhelmed teens burdened by perfectionism, or adults facing anxiety, grief, or family difficulties, she helps each client reframe negative thought patterns, learn new coping tools, and build healthier behaviors. Her sessions are filled with compassion, practical strategies, and often, space for big emotions—tears included.

With a Master of Arts in Counseling and licensure as a Professional Counselor in Texas, Marcy has extensive experience treating concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD in children, grief, parenting struggles, self-esteem, family conflict, and social anxiety. She has a special passion for working with teenagers and women, and particularly enjoys helping parents strengthen the parent-child relationship.

Marcy sees clients at Cottonwood Creek Church and is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and United Healthcare. Reduced fee options are available for those who qualify.

As a mother of three, Marcy brings an extra layer of understanding and relatability to her work with teens and families. Her faith, spiritual gifts of discernment and wisdom, and heart for serving others guide her both professionally and personally. Whether she’s volunteering for local organizations, cheering at her kids’ games, diving into a new book, or squeezing in a Pilates class, Marcy lives with intention and heart—and brings that same energy into every counseling session.

Clients describe Marcy as honest, attentive, and deeply invested in their growth. She creates a space that feels safe enough to be vulnerable, yet strong enough to help push past limiting beliefs. Her goal is simple: to empower her clients with tools, insights, and encouragement that will serve them not just now—but for years to come.
