“What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.” — Glenn Close
Brittany has always been deeply curious about human behavior — why people think, feel, and act the way they do. Guided by a strong sense of purpose and a calling from God to serve others, she views counseling as a privilege and an opportunity to walk alongside clients during some of life’s most vulnerable and transformative moments.
Her therapeutic work is shaped not only by her professional training but also by her own lived experiences, which allow her to approach clients with empathy, humility, and authenticity. Brittany is especially passionate about supporting survivors of sexual trauma and other traumas, recognizing the urgent need for skilled clinicians in this underserved population. She also enjoys working with couples, whether married or unmarried, and individuals on the Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) spectrum, bringing both knowledge and compassion to this complex area of care.
Brittany operates from a Psychodynamic perspective and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) orientation. She integrates techniques such as psychoeducation, mindfulness, grounding, and thought-slowing strategies to help clients manage trauma responses and dissociation, regain a sense of control, and build resilience. Her approach is trauma-informed, ensuring that each client feels safe, respected, and supported at every step of their healing journey.
She believes the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful foundation for growth. By fostering trust, collaboration, and openness, Brittany creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen and heard. She encourages clients to move at their own pace while actively participating in their healing, always honoring the individual journey and celebrating progress along the way.
Outside of her clinical work, Brittany describes herself as “the biggest introverted adventurist you’ll ever meet.” She spent years dancing in styles such as hip-hop, ballet, lyrical, and jazz, and she enjoys horseback riding, water sports, and curling up with a thought-provoking book. She continues to expand her clinical expertise, having recently attended a workshop on dissociation and planning to pursue EMDR training in the near future.
At her core, Brittany strives to offer what she has found most powerful in her own healing: the presence of someone who truly sees and hears you. She brings compassion, honesty, and a commitment to creating space for authentic growth and lasting change.
