Canaan (TX # 15754) is a native Floridian that has a passion for helping others. He relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in spring of 2015 and holds a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University. 

He is also a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) for the state of TX and is credentialed as a Board-Certified Professional Christian Counselor through the International Board of Christian Care.

Prior to becoming a counselor, Canaan worked for over twenty years in the financial services industry. His responsibilities included quality assurance, training in management in areas such as mortgage, banking, insurance student and auto loans. Because of his vast amount of experience, he is well rounded and able to assist clients with trying to find balance while navigating through life’s stressors.

Post-graduation, Canaan began working in the Substance use and has worked with male and female adolescents and male and female adults using individual and group treatment modalities. His counseling theory is existentialism, and he tries to help clients find meaning through their life experiences.
